I discovered the Grand Barn about one year ago during Eric Mandala’s original music tribe events. The silo was not ready yet for people to use as it still had the grain mixer and loads of old grain to be cleared out before inviting musicians to play in it – but WOW what potential !
The silo offer natural reverberation or echo of the sounds, many instruments sound great in there. The fact that handpans are harmonic instruments make this venue event more interesting, especially for handpans with low to medium sustain. In the silo your sound is naturally amplified by 10 times and has amazing quality re-verb allowing sounds you never heard before to come out in the open – unleashing your pan !
